Meet Dr. Penfil

Dr. Penfil

Jeffrey N. Penfil, DMD

I joined the dental field because I wanted the chance to change people’s lives for the better, from improving their overall health to increasing their confidence in their smile. Each one of my patients is a unique individual, and I believe they deserve to be treated in a special, personal, and caring way. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the happiness in a patient after we’ve given them their smile back.

I could not do what I do without my amazing team! We all work together for the benefit of the patient, and I am supremely confident in their ability to take care of each patient as if they were family members. While we all take our professions very seriously, we also know how to have a lot of fun. After all, anyone who puts their hands in other people’s mouths for a living and claims to be sane is not telling the truth!

Education and Continuing Education

I completed my dental training in 1987, graduating from Temple University School of Dentistry with my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. My learning did not stop there, however, as I continually update my knowledge to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry. Continuing education is the key to any successful dental practice. It’s the only way to keep up on where dentistry is going. I have concentrated on implants, laser dentistry, sleep dentistry, and most recently with TruDenta™ pain management.

Professional Affiliations

Family and Community

I am originally from Philadelphia, PA, and currently live in West Chester with my wife, Sue. We have two daughters, Rachael and Alli, both of whom we are very proud of. We also have a 110 gallon tropical fish and plant aquarium and Zoey, a ball of puppy energy. My leisure time is spent cheering on the Eagles, exercising, playing golf, and home brewing beer.

Life has given me more than I deserve. The least I can do is give back to my community in whatever ways I am capable. I am President of the Westtown-Goshen Rotary Foundation, Chairman of the Chester County Kehillah, an arm of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philly, and a member of the Chester County Interfaith Initiative, promoting respect and knowledge among all faiths.
