Front Desk

I welcome our patients to our office, schedule their appointments, and answer any questions they may have about our practice. I have over 25 years of experience in the dental field and was happy to join Dr. Penfil in 2011. I love that we all work together to help people feel better about their smiles, and we always have their best interests at heart.

I’m married with two great daughters. I enjoy gardening in the summer and being a Girl Scout leader for my youngest daughter. To put it simply, I just really enjoy being a mom.

Registered Dental Hygienist

I began my dental hygiene career in 1975 and was happy to join Dr. Penfil’s team in 2004. I am responsible for keeping my patients’ smiles beautiful and oral health ideal. While I love the clinical aspect of my job, what I really enjoy are the one-on-one relationships I’ve built with my patients. I’m still wowed each time I see their dental health transformations.

I am newly married and so very happy! I have four wonderful children who are grown, happy, and successful, a beautiful baby granddaughter, and a warm and welcoming step-family. My husband and I love spending time at the beach, going to concerts and shows, or just cooking together. I also love to lose myself in a good book and pilates.

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

I have worked with Dr. Penfil for almost ten years, assisting him during patient treatments, taking X-rays and impressions, and making cosmetic restorations. I’m always smiling and have a positive attitude in our office and always during our patients’ appointments. Dr. Penfil truly loves what he does and cares deeply for his patients, as we all do, which makes this practice a great place to be!

I graduated from Harcum College and have two amazing sons and a beautiful grandson. In my spare time I enjoy traveling to warm destinations, sailing, scuba diving, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Some of my other interests include dancing, yoga, and watching Philadelphia sports teams, especially my beloved Eagles.

Office Manager

I am the office manager at Preventive Dentistry and Laser Center. I began working in the dental field 14 years ago and truly enjoy what I do. Most of the time I can be found supervising our staff, taking care of insurance claims, treatment planning, and marketing. I am proud to work with Dr. Penfil and be a part of such a caring, compassionate team.

Outside the office, I love spending time with my wonderful family. My life long soul mate and I enjoy spending time with our three boys, fishing, camping, going to the beach and all their sports activities. Our three boys, Khalil, Joseph Jr., and Camwren, never allows us to have dual moment.

Terry

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

I assist Dr. Penfil chairside by placing fillings, taking impressions, making temporary crowns, and maintaining our equipment. I have almost 40 years of experience in the dental field and have worked in this office since 1992. I have enjoyed building trusting relationships with our patients and seeing their oral health improve.

I spend my free time working out at the gym, gardening, traveling, going to the beach, and shopping. I have a son and a wonderful grandbaby that I love to be with. I also have my own business of making jewelry, beads, and silver.
